Dear Editor, Due to the High Fire Alert in Mojave County this year, now would be a good time to clean up your easement on your property. Property Owners who have block walls will possibly be better off than wooden and chain link fences for fire. Reference the Declaration of Covenants, Limitations and Restrictions, under easements (Art. 1, Part 8, Easements, 1972); “Within all Easements, no structures, planting, fencing or other material shall be placed or permitted to remain, which may damage or interference with installation and maintenance of utilities.” This would include weed abandonment. Dear Editor, Until recently my wife and I paid over $2,000 a month for medical insurance. We each had a $6,000 deductible. One year we both had procedure’s which meant we had $12,000 in out of pocket expenses. There were also some other “uncovered” medical costs throughout the year which resulted in over $40,000 in medical insurance and out of pocket costs. The procedures themselves of course cost far and above what our out of pocket expenses were.
