This sinful generation pt. 1

Dear Editor, Matthew 12: 39-41 says: “But he answered and said unto them ‘An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas. For as Jonas was three days and three nights in whale’s belly, so shall the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the Earth. The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it because they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here.” Let’s…

A special thanks to KRMC

Dear Editor, I want to thank all of the amazing staff and doctors at KRMC from imaging to pre-op and post-op. I was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. I couldn’t have had better care and professionalism and efficiency anywhere. From my first mammogram to pre-op and post-op, I always felt cared for and safe. The amazing care I received at KRMC lead me to want to thank the dedicated, hardworking, and loving staff I encountered on my very scary journey. Because of all of you at KRMC, I get to live life longer and to enjoy my family and friends…

Is God mad at you?

Dear Editor, We all may have some issues with the past. Past problems, past mistakes, past sins, past decisions, and past ignorance. We live and we learn if we are fortunate enough to live. Sadly, too many obituaries are of young adults who were barely starting life. Some young adults don’t think that much about the past because so much of life is in front of them – they hope. Most of us believe life is in front of us. It’s difficult to imagine not existing, but as we all know, life ends. If you live long enough, you’ll make…

Why? I Don’t Know

Dear Editor, The Valle Vista Property Owners Association sent out a ballot for three Volunteer Board members and five Volunteer Architectural Board members. Two of the past Volunteer Board members want to be re-elected and one will be vacant. Why? I don’t know! This process costs $5,000 and the VPOA didn’t ask for a raise in the assessment. Why? I don’t know! VVPOA doesn’t need seven Volunteer Board members. Five would be enough and they don’t seem to want to follow the by-laws and CL-Rs of Valle Vista. Why? I don’t know. The Chairman is a retired postal employee, and…

Focus on what you do

Dear Editor, If you want a friend, be a friend. There is never a guarantee. However, if you do not put anything into a friendship, it’s certain the friendship will never grow. Keep in mind that friendships take time. The Bible says, “a man of too many friends will soon come to ruin” (Proverbs 18:24). Why is this? Because too much time maintaining too many friends doesn’t allow you the time you need to work your job, spend time with your family, do your schoolwork, life work, or take care of your business. If a person has ten or twenty friends…
