Dear Editor, Currently underway is an effort to establish a Hillsdale College-affiliated charter school in Mohave County, and its name is the Kingman Needs Hillsdale (KNH) Charter School project and its Chairman is Sgt. Hobert C Wehir, USMC (retired). A fairly recent arrival (escapee?) from Southern California who—after knowing him close to 50 years—will be scouring Mohave County recruiting people dedicated to classical education. Dear Editor, Right now, there are three groups of Property Owners who want to start up a Valle Vista Fire District, which would include Valle Vista, Hackberry, Valentine, and Truxton. They want to break away from Northern AZ. Fire District and the Fire Board and the Fire Chief. The first group is for the Northern AZ. Fire Dept. and has received good and prompt service and they have saved lives and property and they are very happy with NAFD. The second group are Property Owners that have had bad service and have lost lives and property because they got lost….

Dear Editor, The month of October is designated as Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The overall goal is to bring awareness to the severity of every act of domestic violence. Domestic violence can affect any race, gender, and social status. The abuse can exist in many aspects of a relationship, which can include isolation from society and families, emotional abuse, economic abuse, using children, abuse with technology, and sexual abuse. Recognizing different forms of abuse can help bring awareness and relief to all victims and survivors of the horrific incidents and relationships that have caused so much damage to individuals.
