Dear Editor, Afghanistan is an unending nightmare that will never go away.  We got Osama Bin Laden. We wanted to avenge the heinous deaths of September 11, 2001. We were all mad and we are still angry about what evil people did on that day. We will never forget. Dear Editor, Afghanistan has guns but they are in the hands of the wrong people.  Television news reports have confirmed the Taliban has our helicopters, our tanks, our trucks, along with billions of dollars of our American taxpayer-bought military weapons and more.  Afghanistan already had a strict gun policy. Dear Editor, With the Taliban now as the Afghan government, it is very possible they will revert in culture back to the 4th century, but with 20th century weapons. If this happens, they will apply a severe interpretation of Islam and the Qur’an. With the Taliban, Islam’s Sharia Law will be strictly followed in a most conservative, militant view. Sharia Law regulates public behavior, private behavior, and even private beliefs. Sharia Law also favors corporal punishment and capital punishment over incarceration.
