Two of three accept plea deal in drug case

Two of three defendants charged in a Bullhead City drug bust have entered plea agreements to resolve their cases short of trial. Jacob Earle Beane, 39, Matthew Grady Sandman, 40 and Micka Fern Kutschat, 26, were arrested when law enforcement officers conducted a February 5, 2018 search of a home in the 1800 block of Granada Drive. Bullhead City police spokeswoman Emily Fromelt said methamphetamine was found throughout the residence, as well as a small amount of marijuana and some drug paraphernalia. Anglers can fish Arizona waters for free on Saturday, June 1, making this an ideal time to take the family out for some fun and relaxing outdoor recreation. Arizona’s Free Fishing Day will be celebrated on June 1 this year as part of National Fishing and Boating Week, which runs June 1-9. Kingman Regional Medical Center (KRMC) will launch a new electronic health record system on Saturday, June 1, 2019. An electronic health record (EHR) is a digital version of a patient’s chart, including the patient’s complete health history. Since 2018, KRMC has been working with Meditech™ – a Boston-based company specializing in hospital and health care information systems – to create a custom EHR for KRMC’s specific needs.  The new EHR system at KRMC is called One Care. “Our system is now equivalent to the technology used by large urban hospitals,” says KRMC Chief Information Officer, Arek Shennar. Thompson will serve prison time with plea deal

An alleged drug dealer from Lake Havasu City will serve prison time and probation under terms of a plea agreement entered in Kingman. Brianna Lyn Thompson, 26, pleaded guilty Wednesday to possession of narcotic drugs for sale, possession of dangerous drugs for sale and aggravated taking identities of others. The convictions stem from a July, 2017 traffic stop of Thompson’s vehicle in the vicinity of Mesquite Avenue and Civic Center Lane.  Prosecutor Jefferson Pyper told the Court that Thompson was a passenger at the time and that officers observed in plain view on the floorboard a cotton ball, commonly associated with…

Speaking at Kingman Route 66 Rotary Club’s May 17 meeting was Jim Hinckley (shown with club president Becky Fawson). Hinckley, author of 18 books and hundreds of feature articles for various publications, is a tourism development consultant, CEO of Route 66 Crossroads, committee member of Kingman’s Economic Development Advisory Committee and member of Route 66 Road Ahead Partnership. Hinckley is currently teaching a class at Mohave Community College, The History and Culture of Route 66, with a second class, Route 66 Hospitality and Tourism scheduled for May 29 through June 12.
