Molnar gets jail time, probation, community service

BULLHEAD CITY – A local judge has declined a prison option but ordered a 120 day jail sentence for a Bullhead City man who was impaired when he crashed his vehicle through the glass front doors of a convenience store, injuring a patron a year ago. Mohave County Superior Court Judge Derek Carlisle placed Alexander Molnar on probation during an August 15 sentencing hearing and ordered the 70-year-old to perform 80 hours of community work service. “Not the way I pictured my life ending,” Molnar said, when asked if he’d like to address the Court. Manker receives 13 years for killing girlfriend

MOHAVE VALLEY – A Mohave Valley man told a judge last Friday that he killed his girlfriend early this year to end her suffering. Mohave County Superior Court Judge ordered a 13-year prison term for James Manker, 28. It was revealed during the sentencing hearing that Manker was severely disabled when he drove drunk and crashed a vehicle when he was a teenager about a decade ago. His friends told the Court that Manker struggled to live a normal life after the accident and his loneliness led to his relationship with Tina Stimmell, 56. Three sentenced in Lake Havasu court cases

LAKE HAVASU – Three Lake Havasu City residents had their criminal matters resolved during hearings last Thursday at the Mohave County Courthouse in Kingman. The harshest punishment came in three drug cases involving Michael-Shawn Boultinghouse, 37. Superior Court Judge Derek Carlisle sent Boultinghouse to prison for 8.5 years. He was convicted of 2 narcotic drug related counts in a plea agreement that dismissed a mix of other charges. Prosecutor Amanda Claerhout said Boultinghouse possessed singed foil with heroin residue when arrested in December, 2018 at 3101 London Bridge Road. BULLHEAD CITY – Bullhead City Police arrested Devin Gene Monreal, 23, on a temporary felony warrant for attempted homicide for his involvement in Monday’s shooting at Lowe’s.
