MOHAVE COUNTY – The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Program continues to have a direct impact on the “war” on illegal drugs since September 2017 when the program was reinstituted by Sheriff Doug Schuster. “Once a deputy and his canine partner finish their training, they join our K-9 team,” said Sheriff Doug Schuster. “This is a great asset to our citizens and deputies as we will continue to aggressively attack illegal drug trafficking and work diligently to rid our streets of this illegal poison.” MCSO currently has five deputy/K-9 teams that patrol the county. FORT MOHAVE – More than 102 classic and custom vehicles, and hundreds of spectators from around the tri-state converged on the 2019 Mohave County Sheriff’s K-9 Foundation Car Show. Lancaster charged in weapons offense

TRUXTON – Mohave County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) Detectives arrested Jonathan Alan Lancaster, 23 of Kingman, for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, discharging a weapon at an occupied structure, marijuana possession for sale, and narcotic drug possession, all felonies. On October 11 at approximately 4:30 a.m., deputies responded to a residence in the 16000 block of East Apache Ave. in Truxton in reference to a weapons offense. LHCPD awarded Governor’s Office of Highway Safety Grant

The Governor’s Office of Highway Safety (GOHS) awarded the Lake Havasu City Police Department a grant of $30,178 to be used to conduct increased traffic enforcement and to purchase radar tracking equipment. The S.T.E.P. (Selective Traffic Enforcement Program) grant provides the Lake Havasu City Police Department the funds needed to increase traffic enforcement capabilities by assigning personnel on overtime to concentrate on speed enforcement activities. LAKE HAVASU CITY – Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Deputies arrested Gregory Allen Hoefs, 27, of Lake Havasu City, for three counts of aggravated assault per domestic violence and disorderly conduct with a weapon per domestic violence, all felonies. FORT MOHAVE – Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Deputies arrested Kenneth Francis Mohs, 53, of Fort Mohave, for aggravated assault per domestic violence on Thursday, Oct. 17.
