62-year old awaiting sentencing for drug charges

LAKE HAVASU CITY – A Lake Havasu City woman has pleaded guilty to avoid prison in a near five-year-old drug case. Susan Deschaine, 62, could still get up to a year in jail when she is placed on supervised probation during a February 28 sentencing hearing.

Deputy Mohave County attorney Jaimye Ashley said officers searching a Lake Havasu home in the 2700 block of Osbourne Drive confiscated 3.5 grams of methamphetamine from Deschaine’s purse. Ashley said another 7.5 grams of meth was found in a vehicle parked at the same property.
