Grace Women’s Ministry providing warmth in the community

KINGMAN – The Grace Lutheran Church Women’s Ministry has had a long commitment to those in need in the community.   Every quarter, quilts and layettes are blessed and distributed. Layettes go to Kingman Regional Medical Center and to the Advice and Aid Pregnancy Center. Extra baby blankets and clothing and sometimes diapers go to the Pregnancy Center as well.   In support of the literacy program started at Grace last year, every layette contains a baby’s book. BULLHEAD CITY – The Bullhead City Police Department will be participating in the Drug Enforcement Administration’s (DEA) Annual National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day on Saturday, October 28.      On this day, law enforcement agencies across the country will provide a venue for people who want to safely and anonymously dispose of their unwanted, unused or expired prescription medications. Groundbreaking held for BCSD employee housing neighborhood

BULLHEAD CITY – Representatives of the Bullhead City School District and other community leaders broke ground Monday for the first phase of a new neighborhood that will feature housing for some employees priced out of the area.  The “District Employee Neighborhood” (DEN) will provide payroll-deduction rental homes. Changes to LHC transit services to meet the resident needs

LAKE HAVASU CITY – Lake Havasu City Transit is changing the services it provides to best serve the public in Lake Havasu City. The Direct and Flex (ADA users) services are widely popular, with almost 20,000 riders in the last 12 months. This service allows the user to request a ride through an app or by phone call.
