While his war spirals out of control and Americans struggle with healthcare and prices keep going up Trump nurses his grievances as he showed us, once again, in his recent primetime televised speech that was riddled with distorted lies and with what he just can’t seem to let go of with is same old schtick about the 2020 election. Even Trump voters say, “get off it..” and “get Iran and our economy fixed!”
Yet still after six years Trump isn’t psychologically and emotionally over it. His narcissism like everything else trips him up and it’s hurting us and our country. Tax money that could be used to better our lives and our country he spends on self-serving interests including wanting to pay those as if they’re his private militia who attacked our U.S. Capital. He tries to justify it with whitewashing it saying they were just being patriotic.
But to whom? It was our Capitol police who were the true American patriots that save lives and it will go down in history as just that: ‘They came with their weapons and hanging gallows and American patriots stopped them at the risk of their own lives.’
Those who stood by the truth, our Constitution and Democracy fought those who bought into Trump’s lies. Although most can see it for what it is still Trump continues to lie trying to break down our trust in one of the most sacred acts of a democracy: Free and Fair Elections.
Trying to force more federal restrictions on us with his Save America Act when it’s Americans that need saving from it. Beginning with women with married names and seniors that AARP and other reputable organizations are speaking out saying it’ll make it tougher for them to vote and millions of others who lack easy access to passports and birth certificates. Especially older adults with moves and expired IDs with those who no longer drive. As will mail-in voting that’s their only way of voting as it is for millions of others Trump wants to abolish.
Yet if he can’t and although it’s in the database he wants our mail-in ballots to always show our social security number and other sensitive information that will create new avenues for identity theft.
All this because Trump claims there’ some kind of deep-state cabal and foreign bad actors messing with our ballots and voting machines without a lick of evidence that’s been thrown out of courts. Which begs the questions if our voting system is such a hot mess and there’s mass voting fraud nationwide how is it Trump is in the White House and his party controls the Senate and all of the House?
“We the People’ put the Trump party in control and he knows we can take them out. And he wants to make it difficult in whatever ways he can knowing the polls are no longer in their favor because their words are worthless. Our U.S. Constitution says, “The States Not the President Runs the Elections!”
While some states bend a knee to Trump’s wishes and getting agencies to stop elections interference our good state of Arizona still stands strong. Our election officials, Secretary of State Adrian Fontes, and all the others that stand steadfast with our state’s sovereignty to conduct secure elections that work best for Arizona, not Trump.
80 to 90 percent of us vote by mail yet Trump tried to coerce the U.S. Postal Service into throwing out mail-in ballots. It shows just how far he’ll go to interfere with our voting rights and why he demonizes election officials and voting poll workers.
They work incredibly hard to keep our elections fair and convenient and safe and all the more with Trump’s threats we’re grateful for their public service and patriotism. The Save America Act is misleading and no different than his “Worst of the Worst” and his “Big Beautiful Bill” and his illegal war and tariffs … none of it is helping us. Nor does sowing doubt about the legitimacy of our elections.
Trumps so called Save America Act, if it passes, will make it harder for actual citizens to vote. And that’s the whole point.
