May is National Foster Care Awareness Month

Volunteer with CASA of Arizona  May is recognized as National Foster Care Awareness Month, and CASA of Arizona and the Foster Care Review Board (FCRB) are seeking volunteers statewide to advocate for children in foster care. These children deserve a voice, and Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs) and FCRB members serve as their voice in court. When a child or siblings can no longer safely stay in their homes they are removed and placed into foster care. Currently in Arizona, there are approximately 8,800 children in foster care. KINGMAN – Mohave County Master Gardeners will present a Saving Seeds (Tomatoes) workshop on Saturday, May 18 from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Mohave County Extension Office, 101 E. Bullhead City kicks off summer park season

BULLHEAD CITY –The City of Bullhead City is excited to announce the official start of the summer season Friday, May 10. Visitors who are not residents of Bullhead City will be required to pay $20 for parking at the park. For residents of Fort Mohave and Laughlin, the City offers a $50 season pass which can be purchased at City Hall.
