MOHAVE COUNTY – Mohave Community College Soccer recently wrapped up its spring Boys Camp, with Athletic Director and Men’s Soccer Head Coach Camilo Valencia noting regional interest in the program evidenced by the camp’s number of talented out-of-town attendees. LAKE HAVASU CITY – The Young Adult Development Program (YADAH) of Lake Havasu is making sure that youths of Havasu develop positive and healthy hobbies. It’s an early intervention program that could prevent unhealthy habits such as substance addictions.   YADAH was formed for the children of the community and has helped them have promising futures. The organization hosts events where children can thrive like their Hobbies Not Habits annual function. The drug prevention event began four years ago.   The beginning of the events was a challenge for the nonprofit team however, over the years, community interest has grown, and YADAH hopes to continue their…

LAKE HAVASU CITY – With the success of last year’s bowling tournament launch hosted by Marine Corps League Auxiliary, the bowling games will be making a comeback this weekend. Marine Corps League Auxiliary was created to provide fraternal assistance to marines and their families, preserve the memory of the veterans who have served this country, and maintain traditions that support the United States Marine Corp.   Their benefit bowling tournament is open for anyone interested in participating. LAUGHLIN, Nev. – Last weekend at Avi Casino, local car club The River Cruizers hosted their 24th annual charity Classic Car and Bike show and scored a major hit as well as returning to their annual home to raise funds for school scholarships for local graduating students as they have for years. Volunteers with the Arizona Department of Transportation’s Adopt a Highway program make a difference throughout the year, but the combination of Arizona Volunteer Week and Earth Day provides even more reason to get involved.  With that in mind, a group of dedicated Arizonans joined a special Adopt a Highway cleanup in Phoenix early Monday, April 22.
