LAKE HAVASU CITY – Echo Group Band of Brothers wants the Lake Havasu community to know that they are here to support our local veterans. The founders of the nonprofit Steve Baird and Stacy Lee are two former veterans dedicated to connecting those who have served our country through their ongoing activities.

BULLHEAD CITY – Last Sunday, Bullhead City turned 40, and the city spared no expense in celebrating that. Community Park was the site chosen for the Big Bash and Big it was. DOT Foods donated enough free food for the first 2,500 people, which lasted most of the day. The city set up giant pop-up water slides for the kids, the Splash Pad was in full effect, the city offered 40% off lawn chairs pop ups and other ways to relax in the mild weather that was right in time for the party,
BULLHEAD CITY/LAUGHLIN – The Clark County Fire Department held a unified command with the Bureau of Land Management and the National Park Service on the 63-acre fire along the Colorado River between Laughlin and Bullhead City that occurred last week. The large brush fire created smoke that could be seen for miles but did not threaten structures. This fire was finally brought under control with the assistance of helicopter drops from nearby Arizona BLM aviation resources.
KINGMAN – A collision took place in Kingman on August 27 at approximately 5:15 p.m. between Armour and Route 66, causing slight traffic between the Maverik gas station up to the I-40 overpass.
HAVASU – With September approaching Lake Havasu, many of the town’s clubs will be resuming their usual activities and meetings. For fishing enthusiasts, they are in luck, as the Southwest Outfitters Kayak Fishing Club will be having a meeting next Saturday.
The fishing club was started by Southwest Outfitters owner Justin Butel because of his love for Hobie kayaks, fishing, and the great outdoors. The club’s ongoing events and activities are filled with fish opens and competitions.
KINGMAN – The Kingman Republican Women (KRW) will host Julie Coddington, the Mohave County Field Coordinator for the Trump Force 47 Campaign and Danielle Ohle-Keck, candidate for Kingman United School District Governing Board.
KRW will meet on Monday, September 2 at 1 p.m. at the College Park Church Community Center located at 1990 E. Jagerson Ave., 86409. The doors open at 12:30 p.m. and the meeting starts promptly at 1 p.m.
