MOHAVE COUNTY – More than 800 vehicles carrying thousands of friends will be joining the Historic Route 66 Association of Arizona on May 3, 4, and 5 for a weekend of adventure! KINGMAN – The 46th Annual Kingman Festival of the Arts will be held at Metcalfe and Locomotive Parks on Saturday, May 11, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, May 12, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free. KINGMAN – The Friends of the Mohave County Library–Kingman will be holding their book sale Friday and Saturday, May 17 and 18.  Proceeds will benefit the local Kingman Library. The sale will be held at the Mohave County Library, 3269 N. Burbank St., in the program room. It is open to the public from 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. each day. Speaking at Kingman Route 66 Rotary Club’s April 19 meeting was Leah Stagg, Curator and soon-to-be Director of Mohave County Historical Society upon the retirement of Shannon  Rossiter this summer. Among the upcoming projects of the historical society is the restoration of Kingman’s old jail whose doors were locked in 1968. The society is currently seeking financial assistance and volunteers with a construction background for the project.
