Not far from our former home in Avondale flows the Agua Fria River. I have, on many occasions, observed people fishing from its banks, wondering if the fish were good to eat. That question was answered for me when warning signs were posted. In bold, red letters, each sign states: “Warning! Do not eat fish taken from these waters. Fish may be contaminated with hazardous toxins!” The warning was enough for me because I did not want to knowingly poison myself, and quite possibly endanger my life. KINGMAN – The Kingman Clean City Commission and the Kingman Sanitation Department have announced the specially discounted, quarterly trash haul cleanup for the last week in March, and the entire month of April. This special cleanup is available to residential customers that are within the Kingman city limits only. Because of recent storms causing more limb debris for residents, the city is extending the discounted pickup by one week to assist with neighborhood cleanup.
