MRF to postpone summer meetings

KINGMAN – Although this is an election year of extreme importance, the Board of the Mohave Republican Forum (MRF) has unanimously determined that the “health risks” of holding in-person meetings is too great as the COVID 19 figures are trending upward. Thus, there will be no MRF meetings in June or July, prior to the early voting and Primary.  MRF  is uncertain as to when meetings will resume. Treasurer’s Office reopens to the public

MOHAVE COUNTY – The Treasurer’s Office will reopen its cashier windows to the public on Monday June 22. Mohave County Treasurer Cindy Landa Cox said, “The reopening was delayed in order to address a design issue related to our cashier windows negative airflow which is hazardous during the COVID-19 pandemic. Thankfully, our Mohave County Public Works/Facilities staff engineered a simple solution using Plexiglas remnants.” These remnants were left over from the installation of Sneeze-Guards in other county offices. MOHAVE COUNTY –There will be only one Monday meeting per month by the Board of Supervisors for the next three months. The next meeting is July 6, followed by August 3, and September 8. The latter is on a Tuesday, since Monday, September 7 is the Labor Day Holiday.  County Clerk Ginny Anderson says, “the administration building is open to the public, so they certainly can attend, but we want to stress that social distancing and CDC guidelines will need to be followed in the board auditorium.” For those who don’t feel comfortable coming in person to the meetings, the…
