Bullhead schools switch to neighborhood delivery for meal program; RVHS meals to remain on site

BULLHEAD CITY – The Bullhead City Elementary School District’s free meal program will move from “grab-and-go” pick-ups at four campuses to delivery by school bus at several dozen stops around the community.  The move is effective Monday (April 6). Free breakfasts and lunches will continue to be available during campus closures for all students 18 and under, regardless of where they attend school, noted BCESD Superintendent Carolyn Stewart. A companion meal program for River Valley High School students in and around Mohave Valley will remain on campus. Honeywell to produce over 6 million N95 masks for Arizona

PHOENIX⁠ — Governor Doug Ducey today, April 4, announced the state has secured a new agreement with Honeywell to produce over 6 million N95 masks for the state of Arizona over the next 12 months. Upon production of the masks, the Arizona Department of Health Services will deliver them to county health departments for further distribution to health, safety, and emergency response workers. The agreement follows a Monday announcement by Honeywell that it is adding manufacturing capabilities in Phoenix to produce N95 face masks in support of response efforts to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). Amendments to deer, small game hunts also available for review  PHOENIX —  The Arizona Game and Fish Department’s 2020 hunt recommendations for bighorn sheep and migratory birds, as well as some 2020 deer and small-game hunts, are  available for review online at www.azgfd.gov/huntguidelines. New stops added for weekly instructional packet delivery in Bullhead City

13th positive COVID-19 confirmed in Mohave County

LAKE HAVASU CITY -Friday evening, April 3, MCDPH-Nursing received notification of a positive COVID-19 test result in the Lake Havasu City area. The patient, an adult, is currently hospitalized. Our nurses will initiate the case investigation and identify close contacts. There are now a total of 13confirmed cases in Mohave County, six in Lake Havasu City, two in Bullhead City, and five in Kingman.
