This nation has an uphill battle

Dear Editor, Poor Donald J. Trump and family, ousted from public housing, the shame! At last Americans have had it. Since the spineless Senate politicians would not vote to impeach Trump, it was left up to the people to finally say enough. Time for a change to civility and a little compassion, time to heal the malignancy allowed to fester by this administration and get over our worldwide embarrassment! Lindsey Graham, Ted Cruz, and Marco Rubio all know what Donald Trump was after their debates. As soon as they found out Trump’s vicious vindictive nature, they all became sycophants, afraid…

Socialism is taking over our country

Dear Editor, We have finally done it. We have gone full circle and have given in to a socialist agenda. We will be paying for it greatly. Not all at once but slowly, over time. The socialist agenda has been in the making for a long time. By getting rid of the basics in our schools and inserting…

BOS: Johnson named chairman, canvas postponed

MOHAVE COUNTY – Split votes in selecting a new Chairman and canvasing the Nov. 3 general election results highlighted Monday’s Mohave County Board of Supervisors meeting in Kingman. It began with Dist. 2 Sup. Hildy Angius’ motion to appoint Dist. 5 Sup. Ron Gould as Chairman for the next year as the Board has generally rotated in new leadership annually. The Board rejected the motion by a 3-2 vote, with Angius and Gould in the minority. Angius then expressed concerns when Dist. 1 Sup. Gary Watson subsequently nominated Dist. 3 Sup. Buster Johnson to serve as Chair and Gould as…

Bishop recall underway

MOHAVE COUNTY – Dist. 4 Mohave County Sup. Jean Bishop earned a new four-year term Nov. 3, but a Golden Valley businessman hopes to oust her from office next spring. Robert Hall launched an effort to recall Bishop one week before the general election. “I’m very confident. We’ve already collected over 2,000 signatures and it’s only been since I filed the paperwork,” Hall said. 2,998 valid petition signatures are required to force a recall vote and Hall said they want to collect 4,000-5,000 to provide a cushion where signatures might be disqualified. “We’re going to go for it,” Hall said….
