Commissioner interviews begin

MOHAVE COUNTY – The Special Judicial Officer Selection Commission has invited 4 of the 7 applicants to interview for Mohave County Court Commissioner. The bench seat was vacated last month when Megan McCoy was promoted to Superior Court Judge in place of the Honorable Charles Gurtler who retired June 1. The 4 applicants have been invited to interview Monday with panel member Judges Lee Jantzen and Rick Lambert, Attorney Bryan Whitney, County Supervisor Jean Bishop, and Kingman resident Becky Fawson. Industrial park land sales pending

KINGMAN – Economic Development Manager Bennett Bratley is optimistic the City of Kingman may achieve a significant land sale at the Kingman Airport Industrial Park. Bratley told the Airport and Industrial Park Advisory Commission Monday that bids will be opened Thursday for a 30-acre parcel that can be sold for no less than $1,975,000. Bratley said at least one party will submit a bid for the property. The identity of the potential purchaser has not been disclosed.
