NAFD split talks continue

MOHAVE COUNTY – A controversial proposal to split off the northern portion of the Northern Arizona Fire District (NAFD) to create a new district was debated at length during Monday’s Mohave County Board of Supervisors meeting in Kingman. 30 citizens spent 90 minutes commenting during a public hearing that reflected deep division. McGuire told Supervisors during their Monday Board meeting that this year’s Fair could be the biggest in county history, but that he doesn’t yet have financial or attendance data to share. “I think we owe you all a big thank you for your help and support on having this event,” McGuire said.
