Hoover Dam closed to public indefinitely

HOOVER DAM – Effective Monday, July 27, Hoover Dam is closed to public access due to emergency repairs impacting road access through the site. Roadway access directly through the dam area is blocked. The length of the closure is not known at this time as officials have not provided a timeline.

According to Hoover Dam Administrative Support Specialist Stephanie Hunsaker, the dam and plant are not currently at risk. Additional information will be posted as it comes available.
