Kingman Area Literacy Program searches for new director

book

KINGMAN, Ariz.  – The Kingman Area Literacy Program (KALP), a local non-profit organization dedicated to eradicating functional illiteracy, is searching for a new director.

“I am very proud of how much the program has grown,” said Erin Roper, outgoing KALP director. “What KALP needs now is an extroverted, energetic person who can recruit more volunteer tutors to meet the needs of our community.”

KALP is a 100% volunteer run organization and provides 100% free tutoring services to all ages in reading, writing, English language learning, and GED test preparation. KALP volunteers, including the director, do not receive monetary compensation for their time. KALP is part of WELCOME, Inc., a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and is 100% funded by donations.

To learn more about the director role or other volunteer opportunities, visit KingmanReads.org, email KingmanReads@gmail.com, or call or text 928-421-2367.
