Kingman Avenue closed on Wednesday

KINGMAN – UniSource Gas will be shutting down a section of Kingman Avenue between Harrison Street and Short St. for utility work Wednesday, September 9, beginning at 6:00 a.m. The repair is expected to take most of the day to complete, but they will have the road opened back up same day. Alberta June Hopkins, of Kingman, died Tuesday, September 1, 2020. She was 81. Mrs. Hopkins was born July 12, 1939 in Detroit, Mich. The family contact is her daughter Michelle Louise Castle. Arrangements were made by Sutton Memorial Funeral Home.

Henry Davis 63, passed away unexpectedly on August 7, 2020 in Kingman, Ariz. Henry was born in Bagdad, Ariz. He grew up in Skull Valley, later moving to Kingman. He was a concrete finisher, learning the trade from his dad at a young age. Henry retired in 2013 from a back injury. He loved the outdoors, all he needed was a campfire, family, and friends. He knew no stranger and loved having conversations about cars, concrete, hunting, animals and most of all his family. His motto was, “You’re only as good as your word,” and he lived by that. Anyone…

Dear Editor Going over the manifesto that is being proposed by the democratic party. I am amazed on how they are going to pay for this miracle plan that is supposed to build us back better. It seems that no matter how you look at it and no matter how you try to be fair, some of these plans are impossible to imagine.
