City searches for new airport manager

KINGMAN – At least 15 people have applied for the City of Kingman’s vacant Airport General Manager position. Joe Husband is serving as interim manager and he says selected semi-finalists will be scheduled for interviews on Feb. 17. Interpreter problems persist in sushi grill assault case

KINGMAN – Use of a special interpreter has not resolved the language barrier that has posed problems for police, attorneys, psychiatrists and others involved in the criminal case against the man accused of using hot cooking oil and a knife to assault co-workers at a Kingman restaurant last spring. Woman assaulted while holding infant

MOHAVE VALLEY – A Mohave Valley man was arrested Sunday after he assaulted a woman while holding her against her will, according to the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies responded at 8:15 a.m. to the domestic violence incident at a home in the 2400 block of Palo Verde Ct. Spokeswoman Anita Mortensen said deputies contacted the victim outside who indicated that the suspect, Nathan Lee Andrews, 34, was inside with her infant.
