With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Leanna Butrymowicz.
Leanna passed away on June 27, 2026 at home surrounded by family. She was 86.
She was proceeded in death by her parents Bo and Rachael Maddux, her loving husband Don, two sons Norman and Stephen, and grandson Cody.
Leanna was born and raised in Kingman, Ariz. Leanna and Don married in 1956, they were just shy of 70 years together. They settled in Kingman after Don was honorably discharged from the Air force, they raised six children.
During her adventures of raising children, she was an active member of the LDS church, holding an honorable position as relief society president. Leanna also catered weddings, making elaborate cakes for people. She was an artist Painting, photography, silversmithing, lapidary.
She loved doing anything artistic and would try anything new.
Leanna in her later years worked and retired from Smiths.
Mom and dad enjoyed their retirement years. They enjoyed flying to many places, their pontoon boat and trips to Laughlin and Mexico with family.
Leanna is survived in death by her sister Barbara (Darrell) Long. Her children Mike, Kathy, Donald Jr. and Kim. Her beloved grandkids, Leah, Dallas, Amanda, Cinnamon, Megan, Mikie, Stephanie and K-Lee and Shelby. Many great grandkids, nieces, nephews, cousins and her friends.
A celebration of life for mom and dad is planned for later this year.
We will forever miss you mom and dad. Thank you for teaching us to love, laugh, and see the beauty in all things.
