LAKE HAVASU CITY, Ariz. – Fire heavily damaged a home in Lake Havasu City. Fire Department personnel reportedly responded at 4:28 p.m. on Thursday, July 30, to the property in the 2500 block of Anita Avenue.

“A neighbor called 911 after observing the home fully engulfed in flames,” a news release said. “The first arriving fire company encountered heavy smoke and fire coming from the residence, with flames beginning to extend to a neighboring home.”

The fire department said crews brought the fire under control within 25 minutes and prevented flames from spreading to the adjacent residence.

“All occupants safely evacuated the home prior to firefighters’ arrival,” the release said. “No injuries to residents or firefighters were reported.”

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
