Bullhead City marks 29th virus case for county

MOHAVE COUNTY – The Mohave County Department of Public Health (MCDPH)-Nursing staff was notified today of a positive COVID-19 case in the Bullhead City service area. The individual is in the 65+ age range, and is isolated and recovering at home. This case is epidemiologically-linked to a previous case. County nurses are currently in the process of the contact investigation. This new case brings to 29 the total positives cases in the county. There are now 14 positive confirmed cases in the Lake Havasu City area, including the two deaths, eleven in Kingman, and four in Bullhead City.

KINGMAN –The City of Kingman is recognizing Utility Billing team member Janice B. for her life saving efforts. Kingman City Manager Ron Foggin, along with Fire Chief Jake Rhoades, and Utility Billing and Finance members presented Janice with a “Life Saving Award.” While helping a customer pay her utility bill over the phone, Janice immediately noticed that something was wrong with the customer, because of her impaired speech. BULLHEAD CITY – Bullhead City Police arrested three people for stealing UTV’s out of the High School’s bus barn. On Friday, April 3, Mohave High School reported a burglary into the bus barn where a John Deere Gator and several tools were stolen. On April 7, the school reported another forced break-in where a Gator and a Club Car were stolen. A COVID-19 positive Kingman woman discharged from Kingman Regional Medical Center will share her story during a Friday appearance on a local radio station. KGMN-FM News Director Dave Hawkins will interview Xochilt Estrada Kelly and her sister Alvina Johnson, who lives in Yuma. Johnson said Xochilt (pronounced So-chee) began experiencing a persistent cough in late February before she first visited Kingman Regional Medical Center (KRMC) on March 17.
