Ghost town residents get food relief

CHLORIDE – Desert Wonder Tours partnered with the Salvation Army, Sonoran Prevention Works and volunteers to distribute 57 food boxes to Chloride, a small mining ghost town. Chloride’s citizens have been without food bank services for weeks with the added loss of the lone store in the town which has been shut down due to shortages. Desert Wonder Tours, a local tour company originating from Laughlin, Lake Havasu City, Bullhead City, Las Vegas and Kingman, is shuttered but not inactive during the pandemic and looks forward to resuming exciting adventures for its clients when the pandemic ends. Three bear cubs rescued last year released back into the wild

Mother had been struck and killed by vehicle Three bear cubs rescued last April after their mother was hit and killed by a vehicle near Oracle, Ariz., were released back into the wild last week in a remote area in central Arizona. The release was conducted by the Arizona Game and Fish Department (AZGFD) in collaboration with the Southwest Wildlife Conservation Center (SWCC). County to procure masks for hospitals, first responders

Tisdale charged with theft, drug possession

KINGMAN – Kingman Police recovered a stolen vehicle Thursday, April 8. Officers had responded to a residence in the 4900 block of Scotty Dr. regarding a stolen vehicle being on the property.  Marty Brandon Tisdale, 39, of Kingman was observed fleeing on foot, and a subsequent foot chase ensued. Tisdale was taken into custody in the back yard of a nearby residence. Tisdale was found to be in possession of heroin, methamphetamine and the associated drug paraphernalia.
