COVID-19 update: Four new deaths

MOHAVE COUNY – Late Monday afternoon, the Mohave County Health Department (MCDPH) Nursing staff was notified of 40 new COVID-19 confirmed cases. Seventeen cases are in the Lake Havasu City service area. Six cases are in the Kingman service area. There are a total of 17 new confirmed cases in the Bullhead City area and that includes two deaths not previously reported, as well as two more Bullhead City area deaths from previous cases. Much of this is being done by young and middle-aged persons, people of all colors, and seem to know no history or facts. Scottsdale woman falls to her death at Mather Point

GRAND CANYON – On Friday, July 3 at approximately 12:35 p.m., the Grand Canyon Regional Communications Center received a report of a visitor who fell from the rim west of Mather Point. Responding rangers located the body of Maria A. Salgado Lopez, 59, of Scottsdale, AZ approximately 100 ft. below the rim. Ms. Salgado Lopez had been hiking off trail and taking photographs with family when she accidentally stepped off the edge. An investigation into the incident is being conducted by the National Park Service and the Coconino County Medical Examiner’s Office. No additional information is available at this time….
