KINGMAN — Local dignitaries joined company officials and others for the October 3 groundbreaking celebration for the expansion of the Lomanco facility at the Kingman Airport and Industrial Park.

The Arkansas-based company that began operating in Kingman more than four decades ago is the longest tenured industrial park tenant. Lomanco produces residential ventilation units and whirlybirds that remove heat and moisture from residential attic space.

Lomanco currently employs 19 people who use about 50,000 sq. ft. of space. Bullhead City based general contractor Brack Construction will more than double that footprint with two building additions creating 68,000 more sq. ft. of space.

Kingman plant manager Paul Belden explained that product demand increases in the summer and slows during the winter, and expansion will increase storage areas for parts and completed units to allow staff to maintain steady, consistent work schedules.

“The impetus is for us to be able to keep producing even though the orders may not be there, if you will, and to build inventory for the busy months,” Belden said.

Belden said the expansion project is expected to be completed by next summer. He said Lomanco intends to add space in future years when dictated by demand.
