Local church raising funds for youth camp

Saturday, April 6, College Park Community Church hosted a Yard Sale Fundraiser for their Youth Camp Fund. There were volunteers of all ages out helping with the cause along with some of the youth group and about 10 others. Tables were set up and the community rolled in with support.

(From left to right) Russ Jungquist, Bud Herrington and Michael Tybroski, are all smiles as they help with the community yard sale to help raise funds for the church’s youth group.

“Well we have a lot of youth and a pretty good size youth group. We have about 30 kids. A lot of them are from disadvantaged homes and we want them to go to camp this summer. So we are trying to raise money for camp because they can’t afford to pay their own. Camp is in Prescott. It’s a summer camp. Kids get to play and they also get Bible lessons up in the mountains. All proceeds go to the youth ministry and people coming from the community is about 10 to one,” says Russ Jungquist, one of the members of College Park Community Church.

“Even the children that don’t go to our church, we help them go to camp. It costs $310 to send each kid to camp,” says Michael Tybroski, member of College Park Community Church.

For more information about the summer camp or if you would like to make a donation to the College Park Community Church youth Group, please contact College Park at 928-757-4669.
