Maui, Devastation can happen anywhere

Dear Editor, Maui has long been the go-to destination for millions to experience paradise.  Life has changed.  Maui is now the site of the deadliest fire in modern U.S. history. At this writing, over 90 persons are been reported dead. The lovely town of Lahaina is nothing but charred remains and embers.  The news reports of people fleeing for their lives via any means of escape possible is horrific. People who were trying to escape in automobiles have been found unrecognizable except through eventual DNA testing. The entire island is now a humanitarian crisis. Want a friend? Be a friend

Dear Editor, You may have heard this before. I went out to find a friend a none were to be found. I went out to be a friend and found them all around.  Where do you find friends? Your best friends may be your family. You may be close to siblings, cousins, and others related to you. Since 1967, the FOIA has provided the public the right to request access to records from any federal agency. It is often described as the law that keeps citizens in the know about their government. All Federal agencies are required to disclose any information requested under the FOIA unless it falls under one of nine exemptions which protect interests such as personal privacy, national security, and law enforcement. All government agencies should also…

Federal government’s lies continue to cripple local and national economies

Dear Editor, Mohave County Supervisor Buster Johnson would like to comment on the blatant lies being put out by the Biden Administration in regard to uranium and the new Grand Canyon National Monument. In recent press reports, it has been stated that only 1.3% of the nation’s uranium reserves are found within the monument’s boarders. “The actual amount is closer to 40-59%,” Supervisor Buster Johnson stated.  A paper written by geologist Gene Spiering stated, “In 2004, the Energy Information Administration, the official energy statistics from the US Government, released the US Uranium Reserves Estimates by State. The reserves totaled 890…
