Dear Editor, Typically there is a 4 to 4:30 p.m.  support Ukraine Peace Vigil at Locomotive Park here in Kingman on the first of each month. However, due to inclement weather conditions such as cold, wind and rain, the heat dome this past summer, and health challenges and this scheduled peace vigil  has been disrupted since last summer.  Rain, cold temps and wind are in the forecast for Feb. as well. Dear Editor, I’m writing in response to a supposed “Letter to the Editor” that was written by Mr. Butch Meriwether and published on Wednesday January 24, 2024 in your paper. First of all, in the 40-plus years that I’ve been a professional outdoors communicator, I’ve never seen a THREE-PART Letter to the Editor.  While this was a supposedly an article about “BLM utilizes inhumane methods to capture burros/horses” it clearly wasn’t that at all. Dear Editor, I was 25 years old when I had my first cervical biopsy to check a few abnormal cells that showed up on a routine Pap smear. This was followed by a conization in which more of my cervix was removed. When the oncologist sat across from me a few weeks later to explain I had cervical cancer, I was stunned and confused.
