Is our mayor in hiding?

Dear Editor, Last month, a group of my fellow Kingman citizens invited Mayor Jen Miles to speak to us in a local church all-purpose room. As concerned Kingman residents, we wanted to ask her about current issues as they relate to everyone in our community, such as, why masks were still required in city buildings when the city mandate had been lifted, her take on recent recall efforts and why Kingman roads remain in disrepair. From the moment our spokesman contacted her, she appeared hesitant and somewhat suspicious, asking who would be in attendance, what we wanted to know and…

Compliance committee resurrected

Dear Editor, Congratulations are in order for the Valle Vista Board of Directors for resurrecting the very important and critical compliance committee. This volunteer group has the unpleasant task of protecting Valle Vista’s visual aesthetics and quality of life by enforcing our governing documents to the benefit of the entire community. It would be great for all new property owners, builders and real estate professionals to be aware of the CK&Rs that govern Valle Vista. Current and established residents should also review the documents to ensure proper compliance especially in areas of trash removal, junk and easement maintenance. In many…

We have leaders of our country who have no thought of truly serving this nation or its people, who have their own agendas, who can do nothing without greed…

Work on your Mother’s Day Memories

Dear Editor, Plan your telephone call to say hello to mom this Sunday. Better yet, if possible, make a visit with a card or even some flowers or maybe some brownies or a special treat. Moms deserve to be treated special. Take her out to lunch or dinner if possible. It doesn’t have to be Sunday, maybe Saturday would work better. Tell mom what she means to you. Let her know that you love her and that you give thanks for all she has done for you. Let her know she was a good mother and that you are grateful…
