Concerns raised over Ivermectin and COVID-19

Dear Editor,

James J.’s letter in the Sept. 8 edition titled “Questions continue about vaccines and treatments” reveals precisely why we, as a society, are still battling this COVID-19 pandemic. He poses the question: “Why should we Americans rely on educated derelicts?” Why? Because they know more than the Fox News people and the Governors who doubt the science. The experts know this is a new virus which until a couple of years ago was unknown, and there is a learning curve here. As we learn more about this virus, treatment modalities may need to be changed. To simplify the concept, think of firefighters fighting a forest fire and then the winds change direction. This puts into play a need to change tactics in order to effectively combat the flames.

Do not forget President Trump was instrumental in developing these vaccines through his Operation Warp Speed. To Mr. James, apparently you are unaware that you can purchase Ivermectin at just about any feed store. As for Hydroxychloroquine, it would have to be obtained from a derelict medical professional. Here is a thought: both Clorox and Lysol can be obtained over the counter, but a better solution would be to just get the vaccine and quit worrying about the virus.

  1. You are the best! You can get your sensible points across without being rude but still making the others look foolish. Keep it up!!!!!!
