Questions continue about vaccines and treatments

Dear Editor, In response to an article by Mr. Gordon Groat, November 16, 2020. The man who heads up Mohave County’s contact tracing and COVID-19 response coordination effort. In the trenches with COVID: One man’s perspective. After almost one year now the medical field has not progressed to help the people.Mr. Groat you said …”Americans should rely more upon the advice of health care professionals.” Why should we American’s rely on educated derelicts? What is unethical and irresponsible is “ listening to the sound of people tapping on the glass, people trying to get your attention” and doing nothing to…

Afghanistan will never go away

Dear Editor, Afghanistan is an unending nightmare that will never go away.  We got Osama Bin Laden. We wanted to avenge the heinous deaths of September 11, 2001. We were all mad and we are still angry about what evil people did on that day. We will never forget. We could have covertly taken out Bin Laden and many more terrorists without all that our political leaders have done over the last 20 years.  Thousands of parents lost their children in Afghanistan. Thousands of spouses lost husbands and wives. Children lost their parents. These precious Americans will suffer the rest…

Give our guns to the Afghanistan women

Dear Editor, Afghanistan has guns but they are in the hands of the wrong people.  Television news reports have confirmed the Taliban has our helicopters, our tanks, our trucks, along with billions of dollars of our American taxpayer-bought military weapons and more.  Afghanistan already had a strict gun policy. The Taliban’s is stricter. You aren’t allowed to own automatic weapons or handguns. Thus, while the Afghan citizens have struggled for defense weapons, the Taliban and other terrorists have had access to all they have wanted. The bad people have guns. The good people do not have guns. The bad people…

The Taliban

Dear Editor, With the Taliban now as the Afghan government, it is very possible they will revert in culture back to the 4th century, but with 20th century weapons. If this happens, they will apply a severe interpretation of Islam and the Qur’an. With the Taliban, Islam’s Sharia Law will be strictly followed in a most conservative, militant view. Sharia Law regulates public behavior, private behavior, and even private beliefs. Sharia Law also favors corporal punishment and capital punishment over incarceration. The Taliban will likely be the most intrusive and restrictive government, especially against women. Women will go back to…
