Dear Editor, First of its kind in Kingman Arizona! Our very own Valle Vista peace vigil to show support for Ukraine. The peace vigil will be held every Wednesday from 4 to 4:30 p.m. We meet at the main entrance to Valle Vista located on Concho Drive and Route 66 mile marker 71. Join other peace advocates to honor the brave Ukrainians and to show our disdain for Russia’s nakedly obscene aggression. This weekly peace vigil will continue until Putin terminates military aggression in Ukraine or as conditions dictate. Dear Editor, One of the major headaches that local veterans have encountered over the years is geography. This impact is mostly felt in selecting which VA Healthcare system to enroll in, Prescott (VIZN 22) or Las Vegas (VIZN 21). Doesn’t sound like much of a difference unless you have been bounced around in trying to get the health care you need. Good news! The VA is now looking to review the assignment of the Mohave County from Prescott to Las Vegas. They have established an AIR Commission to review the suggested changes. Dear Editor, In Athens, young adults spent two years in public service. Many over 30 formed a huge city council to make laws for the population. In Rome, citizens had extensive and regular civic duties. Elected officials served only one-year terms, so many would have the opportunity of being leaders.
