Final response to Lloyd Dickson

Dear Editor, Lloyd, Lloyd, Lloyd, We live in a Capitalist society. There are always going to be rich people because some of us are better at making money than the rest of us. Should they pay their fair share? Absolutely. Do they? Mr. Trump does not return my phone calls when I call to ask this question, so I digress. I do think they take advantage of the tax codes that are in place. Tell me that you wouldn’t if you could lol. When I rebuked to your Socialist rant about BBB, I railed at the level of surveillance required…

Commentary on Mohave County group homes: Part 1 of 2

Dear Editor, My name is Jake and you’ve probably never met me or even heard of my plight. I am also willing to bet my next meal that many of you have never been to where my friends and I live. The place I’m currently staying at with Barney, Gertrude, Shorty, and about 180 others isn’t a four-star luxury hotel. It is an older modest single-story facility. It can be a bit cramped; sometimes there are more than four of us living in the same room at any given period of time. Some of my friends also live in an…

Concerns about KRMC, medical care in Kingman

Dear Editor, Recently my wife and I received letters from KRMC notifying us that our Primary Care doctor, Dr. Justin Garrison, is leaving KRMC. We were both shocked and dismayed, it was like someone in our family had just died! We have been seeing Dr. Garrison since he first came to KRMC in 2015. He is one of the best doctors we have ever had and now losing him puts us in a real dilemma. When we asked who his replacement was going to be, they told us there are no other Primary Care doctors taking new patients and we…

They are blinded by God

Dear Editor, When I entered the title “Are They Blinded by God?” the system would not accept that. Probably because of the question mark, but perhaps, God wants to show He is involved in what is happening in America today. Something that I am sure that He is! This morning, I heard the President say that we need to find out the root to why so many immigrants are leaving their country and streaming across our border. We also have heard the Vice President talk about finding out the root many times in the past. To them it is the Root, the root! What…

America’s crumbling bridges: can we save ourselves?

Dear Editor, The Forbes Avenue bridge over Fern Hollow Creek in Pittsburgh’s Frick Park collapsed last Friday morning, January 28, with several vehicles, including a Port Authority bus. (From Pittsburgh Action 4)  Ten people were injured. No one was killed when the bridge buckled at 6:39 a.m., officials said, though four people were hospitalized with injuries that were not life-threatening. President Biden who was ironically visiting the area, warned that the country might not be so lucky next time. “We don’t need headlines saying that someone was killed when the next bridge collapses,” Biden said. (Washington Post)  “The most recent report using 2021…
