Fatality on Fed-Ex property a mystery

KINGMAN – A workplace fatality recently occurred at the Kingman Airport Industrial Park, but information is pretty scarce beyond that. The Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) confirms it is investigating the fatality on Fed-Ex property on Tuesday, Nov. 14. OSHA spokesman Trevor Laky said he can provide no information other than it is investigating the incident. Spokesman Anita Mortensen said one or more members of the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the airport, but deferred all questions to OSHA. LAKE HAVASU CITY – Lake Havasu City police have released the name of the man who is believed to have died from a gunshot wound last week. Public Information Officer Michael Terrinoni identified the decedent as Kyle Kozan, 32. Police responding to a report of a Nov. 8 shooting at 10:18 p.m. in the 3700 block of Hiawatha Dr. located Kozan. KINGMAN – The Kingman Police Department has provided more information regarding last week’s standoff at the Basha’s grocery store in the 3300 block of east Andy Devine Ave. Deputy Chief Joel Freed said police believe Lacelle Manakaja, 19, Peach Springs was inebriated at the start of the ordeal and continued drinking during until he was taken into custody 4.5 hours later. Scuffle injures officers

LAKE HAVASU CITY – Two law enforcement officers were injured during a scuffle following a routine traffic stop last month, according to a newly-released incident report from the Lake Havasu City Police Department.  The report authored by officer J.P. Zuege said officer Fuson was on patrol in the area of Mulberry Ave. and Swanson Ave. when he pulled over a vehicle that ran a stop sign early Saturday morning, Oct. 14.
