BLM accepting race course permits for LHC area

LAKE HAVASU CITY – The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is accepting proposals for the available Special Recreation Permits (SRP), which are valid December 1, 2024, through February 28, 2025, for two competitive off-highway races on the Parker Racecourse. Applications will be accepted through March 1, 2024. All interested applicants must submit a complete SRP application package which includes: SRP application form (Form 2930-1); operating plan addressing topics covered in the guidelines; and topographic maps addressing desired event course. MOHAVE COUNTY – The Kingman Police Department (KPD) is providing additional details of an officer-involved shooting that injured no one and resulted in the arrest of the suspect in Dolan Springs on Wednesday, Dec. 20. Deputy Police Chief Joel Freed said Mohave County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) detectives were searching the rural community for Edward Angelo regarding arrest warrants and his alleged involvement in several violent crimes. Freed said detectives spotted Angelo about 9:00 a.m. when he fled on ATV. BULLHEAD CITY – A drug-induced naked crime spree that began and ended at the Family Dollar in Bullhead City results in a five-year prison term for John Aguilar-Gomez, 32. The sentenced imposed Dec. 19 by Mohave County Superior Court Judge Derek Carlisle was mandated in a plea agreement convicting the Bullhead City man of aggravated assault, indecent exposure and criminal trespassing.
