USDA Rural Development to host Home Grant and Loan Application Day for Kingman area homeowners

KINGMAN – On Wednesday, June 26, U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development Single Family Housing staff will be available in Mohave County Community Service’s Mezzanine Room from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to inform and process homeowner applications for 504 Home Repair Loans and Grants. In partnership with the Western Arizona Council of Governments (WACOG). Homeowners are invited to speak with a specialist about available programs and begin applications. Representatives from the Social Security Administration (SSA) will also be present to assist with services. Bilingual services available.

Some Needles residents evacuated due to fire

NEEDLES, Calif. – Some residents of nearby Needles, California were temporarily evacuated from their homes when a wildfire destroyed one home Saturday afternoon, June 22. The fire scorched dozens of acres in California and hopped the Colorado river to blacken 164 more acres in Mohave Valley.
