KINGMAN –– The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Kingman Field Office will host a public scoping meeting November 19 to present a proposed mine plan from Kalamazoo Materials Inc. that would allow for expansion of an existing decorative rock mineral material site near the town of Chloride in Mohave County. The current decorative rock mine and access road encompasses 37 acres. The proposed mine plan would expand the mine site west of the existing location, adding an additional 23 acres. Victim was struck, drug hundreds of feet

Alleged hit-and-run driver apprehended BULLHEAD CITY – On Tuesday, November 12 at about 8 p.m., a van driven by 74-year-old Alton Ervin, reportedly caused a motor vehicle accident on Highway 95 and Central Avenue. The two occupants in the other vehicle got out of their car and told police they attempted to stop the driver of the van from leaving the scene. The van then reportedly accelerated away from the crash scene and struck the female passenger from the other vehicle, dragging her hundreds of feet.
