“The Johnson Family Ministries” is coming to Kingman

KINGMAN – The Johnson family, a Christian musical singing ensemble will perform at College Park Community Church, 1990 Jagerson Ave., at 6 p.m. Sunday, February 16. There is no admission fee, and all are welcome.

Ben and his wife, Sandie, along with their three children have traveled full time as the “Johnson Family Ministries.” Ben said about the group, “We are grateful for the call of God to serve in this way. We’ve been on the road full time with our children for nearly ten years now.”

They have been on the road ten years, but the ministry first began with Ben’s grandparents “The Singing Harris Family” who traveled worldwide for 35 years. Ben’s parents followed in their shoes as the “The Johnson Family Ministries.” In 2011, Ben’s parents took leave, and Ben, and his family continued the legacy.

Ben and Sandie’s children are: their oldest son Matthias, 21, their second youngest son, Micah, 15, and daughter, Jubilee, 15. They will regale us this coming Sunday evening with guitar mandolin, banjo, fiddle, piano and of course vocals. While Ben and Sandie do not want to be associated with today’s country or early bluegrass, their music might be defined as “real” with a lovely family harmony accompanied by acoustic instruments.

In addition to musical performances, they have a children’s radio broadcast, “KidsFire 4 Christ,” a fast paced children’s program. Their voices are heard on radio in 5 countries weekly. They also have “Kidology,” a non-prophet organization equipping those that minister to children with ideas, training and resources. Added to that, Matthias and Micah have a video series called “Busn’it” in which they bring the audience along on the adventures of road life, as they travel to many places. About the various ministries Matthias says, “We are blessing people when they need it most by the leading of the Lord because, we don’t know what they are going through, but God does!”

They are well equipped in the blessing business as Ben is an ordained minister with “Fellowship of Christian Assembles Canada” as well as a singer-musician.  In addition to his talents, his wife Sandie has a few talents of her own. She plays the violin and sings, and is a graduate of a musical ministry program of Vangard Bible College. Sandie said about the family ministry, “It means touching people at the very core of their being for something much bigger than themselves. It’s in something long after their life; it’s in eternity building in a kingdom not of this earth but of heaven.”

The Johnsons are touching people with CD’s, the latest of which is “Refueled”, The Old Time Way. Their previous CD’s are: “Faithful & True,” “Grace and Free,” “One I Love,” “Big Day Radio Show Children’s CD,” and “BlueClass CD.”

Don’t miss the Johnson’s sweet harmonic voices and joyful music. Please visit johnsonfamilyministries.celect.org for further information.
