Two movies slated for January

KINGMAN – The Kathryn Heidenreich Adult Center (KHAC) will host their monthly movie night on Friday, Jan. 3 and Friday, Jan. 24 beginning at 6 p.m. The Jan. 3 movie is The Ox-Bow Incident from 1943 starring Henry Fonda, Harry Morgan, Dana Andrews, Anthony Quinn, and MaryBeth Hughes. The Jan 24 movie is Mutiny on the Bounty from 1935 starring Charles Laughton, Clark Gable, and Francho Tone. No injuries in Acoma house fire

LAKE HAVASU CITY – Residents in the 500 block of Acoma Blvd., were able to evacuate their home unscathed after a fire broke out. The occupants discovered fire coming from the roof in the early morning hours of Monday, Dec. 23. Lake Havasu City Fire Department was able to gain control of the blaze in less than 15 minutes and remained on scene for about five hours conducting salvage operation. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Henderson charged with 23 counts of sex exploitation

LAKE HAVASU CITY – Larry G. Henderson, 27, of Lake Havasu City was arrested and charged Thursday, Dec. 19 with 23 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor. Henderson’s home in the 3000 block of Whirlwind Lane was raided following a several months long investigation with Lake Havasu City (LHC) Police and the Arizona Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force regarding pornographic images of children having been flagged to the residence.
