KINGMAN, Ariz. – A four-day trial opened Tuesday for a Golden Valley man who is charged with three counts of sexual assault. Casey Schneider, 35, allegedly forced himself upon a woman without her consent on three occasions over a near two-year period.
Authorities allege the first rape occurred in Sept., 2023 when the victim, now 36, claims she was forced from a couch to a bedroom where she was assaulted despite saying “no”.
“I told him he was hurting me. I told him to stop,” she testified. “I felt degraded. I felt used. I felt scared. I felt helpless.”
The woman told the jury the second assault occurred in a shower the next summer. The third assault at the same home in the 4900 block of North Laguna Road was alleged to have occurred in July, 2025.
“This is a he-said she-said case,” Public Defender Paul Amann told the jury. He urged the panel to consider the woman’s credibility, given late reporting and lack of specificity as to dates of occurrence.
“When you hear all of the evidence, we’re confident you will see that the state has not met its burden,” Amann said.
