Local citizen starts fundraiser for LHC K-9

LAKE HAVASU CITY – Barbara Cross, a Lake Havasu City resident, has organized a fundraiser and is looking for the community’s support to fund a K-9 program for the Lake Havasu City Police Department. These funds will be solely dedicated to the LHCPD’s K-9 program and are used for the purchase of the dog, training and equipment. The initiative was jump started by multiple community members wanting to support the police department by donating money to a K-9 program. Mohave High, alumni choirs to perform tonight

BULLHEAD CITY – Mohave High School’s award-winning choirs will celebrate the holiday season with their last concert of the school year Friday night, December 13 in the Mohave Auditorium.  Tickets are $7 at the door for the 7:00 p.m. performance. Numbers include an eclectic mix of holiday classics such as “We Need a Little Christmas” from Mame, “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” from Meet Me in St. Louis, the Austrian Christmas carol “Still, Still, Still” and the humorous “Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer.” There will also be contemporary Christmas music, according to Mohave’s choir director Cameron Pruett. …

Desert Riders to make annual toy run

KINGMAN – On Sunday, Dec. 15, the Desert Road Riders motorcycle club will host its 7th Annual Toy Run. Club members will be meeting at the American Legion Post 14 between 10 a.m. and noon. At noon, kickstands will go up and the group will ride to Hootch’s Grill, where they will meet up with Santa. Santa will be handing out toys and taking pictures with local boys and girls beginning at 12:30 p.m. at Hootch’s. Last year Santa met with more than 400 area children. Grief & Loss support group open to all

KINGMAN – Come and join White Cliffs Assisted Living Center for a monthly “Grief and Loss Support Group” on Wednesday, Dec. 18. These are group meetings to provide support to those who are struggling with issues related to grief and loss. People are there to listen and provide support when you need it. Support Groups are led by the Pastor Paul Pitts of Living Waters Hospice.
