COVID-19 update: Three deaths today

MOHAVE COUNTY – Late this afternoon, the Mohave County Health Department (MCDPH) Nursing staff was notified of four new confirmed COVID-19 cases and three deaths. Two of the deaths are previously reported cases in the Kingman area. One of them is an individual who is in the 50-59 year age range and the other is a 70-79 person.  The third death is a 70-79 year age range individual in the Lake Havasu area. Meth dealer is prison bound

BULLHEAD CITY – A Bullhead City man who repeatedly sold methamphetamine to a civilian confidential informant (CI) entered a plea agreement in Mohave County Superior Court on Tuesday, March 19. Terms of the deal for Stephen Martin, 60, require Mohave County Superior Court Judge Rick Lambert to order a 16-year prison term at a June 18 sentencing hearing. The agreement dismisses a 2018 theft of means of transportation case and a 2019 case involving weapon and drug paraphernalia charges. Nursing home outbreak discussed at supervisor’s meeting

BULLHEAD CITY – A COVID-19 hotspot in Bullhead City was delicately addressed during Tuesday’s Mohave County Board of Supervisors meeting. County officials declined to identify the long-term care facility, but Department of Public Health Director Denise Burley said at least ten positive coronavirus cases trace to the business. “We can’t give out the name,” Supervisor Hildy Angius said. “These things have a way of getting out.” A spokesperson from Joshua Springs Senior Living, on its own, informed The Standard that more than a dozen cases have been confirmed at the facility.
