He tossed suitcases full of meth onto I-40 during police chase KINGMAN – An Indio, California man who tossed suitcases full of methamphetamine onto Interstate 40 during a police chase has been given a 7.5-year prison term. The punishment for Pedro Aguirre, 38, was stipulated in a plea agreement convicting him of possession of dangerous drugs for sale. Authorities said Aguirre was the passenger in a sedan that was the subject of an attempted traffic stop for an illegal lane change two miles east of Kingman on January 23. BULLHEAD CITY – On Friday, May 22 at about 1 a.m., police and fire crews were called to a small fire in the dirt area next to the Family Dollar Store on Commercial Way. The responding officer deployed a fire extinguisher on the flames until Bullhead City firefighters arrived on scene to completely put out the fire. BULLHEAD CITY – The Colorado River Union High School District governing board voted unanimously Wednesday night to proceed with traditional graduation ceremonies for the district’s three high schools.  Commencement at CRUHSD’s Anderson Auto Group Fieldhouse will have a variety of health and safety recommendations, including attendance restrictions. Each graduate will receive two tickets to enable social distancing, with graduates seated on the Fieldhouse floor and guests in the bleachers.  All three graduation ceremonies will be livestreamed on YouTube or another video platform for those unable to attend.
