Mary Evelyn Griswold daughter of Leo Sylvester Patten (1902 – 1977 abt) and Elora Burdela (born) Dickey (1896 – 1957) passed away July 24, 2020 at Bullhead City, Ariz. She was 98. She is survived by two sons, Robert Lee and James Victor Miller, six grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Preceded in death, husband Orie Alfred Miller, second husband John Griswold, daughter Mary Jean Hundley, and granddaughter Lorie Lee Miller. The family contact is Robert Miller.

Two teens killed in quad crash

DOLAN SPRINGS – Two teenagers were killed when the quad they were riding was struck by a vehicle in Dolan Springs. The Mohave County Sheriff’s office responded at 8:30 p.m. Saturday to the incident at milepost 5 on Pierce Ferry Road. Acting sheriff’s office spokeswoman Sandy Edwards said the reporting party had advised that a white pickup truck crashed into a quad occupied by three riders. Edwards said medical personnel had already declared two 13-year-old girls dead at the scene before deputies arrived. LAKE HAVASU CITY – The Department of Public Safety is investigating a fatal head-on collision between Lake Havasu City and the Bill Williams River bridge. Agency spokesman Bart Graves said the Saturday crash on State Route 95 was reported at 9:51 p.m., at milepost 162. MOHAVE COUNTY –  Late Sunday afternoon, the Mohave County Health Department (MCDPH) Nursing staff was notified of 30 new confirmed COVID-19 cases. There is one new confirmed death in the Kingman service area, a 90+ person from a previously reported case. Of the 30 new cases, 15 are in the Bullhead City service area. There are 9 in the Lake Havasu City service area. There are 5 in the Kingman service area and there is 1 in the North County service area. Officer-involved shooting under investigation

CANE BEDS – An officer-involved shooting (OIS) is under investigation in the north Mohave County community of Cane Beds. The Mohave County Sheriff’s office received a report of shots fired at a residence at an unspecified time of day on Saturday. “Due to the nature of the call, the on-duty Mohave County deputy requested assistance from the Colorado City Marshal’s Office (CCMO),” said sheriff spokeswoman Anita Mortensen. She said CCMO officers arrived at the home before the deputy. “Upon arrival, the suspect reportedly pointed a firearm at the CCMO officers,” Mortensen said. “One officer fired one round at the suspect.”…
