MOHAVE COUNTY – Mohave County has allocated less than half of the $6.5 million that the federal government provided in March to provide rental and utility assistance to citizens and businesses struggling during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Board addresses illegal sign issue

MOHAVE COUNTY – Mohave County officials have been steadfast in refuting allegations that its employees have engaged in excessive, if not illegal, enforcement of COVID-19 rules, regulations, and restrictions, but there’s a concession that staff made dozens of errors in another arena. The matter was brought to light by District 5 Supervisor Ron Gould at the Sept. 7 Board of Supervisors meeting. “Recently over 100 of my constituents were cited for having illegal signs in the Ft. Mohave area in front of their business,” Gould said. “These were A-frame signs and I guess you would call some of them sails, or…

Mobile Health Unit part of proposal for Rescue Plan Funds

KINGMAN – Mohave County Supervisor Jean Bishop (R-Dist. 4) on Sept. 6 spoke to the Kingman Republican Women on a variety of topics including her proposals for use of the District 4 allocation of the Rescue Plan fund. Mohave County will receive $41 million from the Federal Government which the Supervisors voted to split evenly by supervisorial district. While she doesn’t agree with the huge giveaways by the Federal Government, she believes it was important for the County to accept the funds in order to benefit Mohave County residents. “I don’t agree with that.  If you give money away, it…
