LAKE HAVASU CITY – River Riders MC aren’t just passionate about riding motorcycles; they also love giving back during the holiday season. River Riders was founded upon a group of motorcycle rider enthusiasts. This will be the organization’s 40th annual toy run. All motorcyclists of the area are welcome to participate.  Early arrivals are encouraged so that everyone can ride together. Riders will gather on Saturday, Dec. 2 at noon at Pirate’s Den in Parker.  The group will then ride all the way to Fly X Saloon in Lake Havasu. There will be a 50/50 drawing, food, and live music. LAKE HAVASU CITY – The Mohave County Environmental Health Department in Lake Havasu City has seen an uptick in pigeon complaints this past month.  Supervisor Buster Johnson would like to remind the public that the feeding of pigeons in both the unincorporated areas and incorporated cities within Mohave County is prohibited.  “This is one of the first ordinances I helped pass and put into place during my first term,” Johnson stated.  “With a lot of new residents to the area, it’s important we remind folks of this ordinance and the health risks associated with feeding them,” Supervisor Buster Johnson stated. KINGMAN – Substantial progress is reported as a consultant conducts the Dross Site Remediation clean-up of a 15-acre site at the Kingman Airport. The smelting of 5,700 aircraft and burial of the aluminum waste product decades ago has resulted in a churning underground soup bubbling up and resulting in uneven surface. Project manager Pejman Eshraghi, an engineer with city consultant Haley & Aldrich, told the Airport and Industrial Park Advisory Commission at their Nov. 20 meeting that 75,000 tons of material will be hauled away from the Dross site. St. Vincent dePaul is a voluntary organization whose core values are to service people in need of clothing, employment, and food. For centuries, St. Vincent dePaul has helped millions who are experiencing poverty become self-sufficient.
